New
year Eve 2008
In every
aspect of life there is always a significant change , and
31st of December is always a significant change in every
thing like change in year , change in the calendar and
change in the life of human being since it adds up a new
year in our life . Noticing all this change people all over
the world celebrate this day by welcoming the coming year
,on the eve of new year people over the world try to
celebrate the coming year in different ways ,since the world
is divided in to two parts , one of the part celebrate the
eve by dancing and parting on the dancing floor ,and in the
other hand people they celebrate the coming year in the
house of God by confessing that the coming year will be in
the hands of the Almighty God
Noticing all the different celebrations going on , since the
past few years our Pastor decided to have the new year
celebration at the church . So to say good bye to 2007 and
welcome 2008 it all started with the Eritrean traditional
dinner which was prepared by the women ministry ,then it was
followed by spiritual music by the choirs of full gospel
Eritrean church , then it was the gospel time .This year
gospel was preached by p.desta hargot in b/n of his
preaching it was the time to celebrate the year of 2008 ,
exactly at mid night all the candles in every persons hand
were lighted , balloons were throughn and with the help of
Yonatan singing we welcomed 2008 then pastor Desta closed
his preaching with a prayer and he hand over the mic to the
hosters of that evening and the real program has started .
the hosters of the year was Mr Desawi and Miss Bilen ,they
were dressed in traditional dress and they opened the
program by distrubiting every one a drink and making a wish
for the year by saying chersssssssssssssssssssss
The programe continued by spiritual song of Samsom from full
gospel Eritrean church which awake every one . then the
heart taking part started it was a poeam in a form of drama
it was prpapared by sisters Martha ,Semhar, Meaza and Liya
the topic of the poem was “ God can change your history “
this poem it realy took the heart of every one .then the
program was followed by playing games and the winner of the
game was mr samsom . at last but not at least the stage was
given to Yonatan and he was singing songs which prais and
glorify the Almighty God till 6 am.
